Who Are Friends of Fort McClary?

Friends of Fort McClary are a nonprofit group that was formed during the summer of 2000 by citizens from Maine and across the nation with interest in preserving the historic site and its history.  The friends welcome donations for the programs and events at Fort McClary.

The Friends have an annual meeting to give reports on the progress at the fort and any discussions as needed.  Our committees meet when needed through out the year.

The friends assist site staff in development and promotion of historical and recreational events at the fort.  Members are kept informed by a newsletter about events and progress at the historical site.

 State and Historical Site.
