Help Save Fort McClary
History survives because people choose to protect it.
For generations, Fort McClary has stood watch over the Piscataqua River, bearing witness to more than three centuries of American history. Today, this irreplaceable landmark needs our help.
One of our most important preservation priorities is the restoration of the historic Rifleman’s House. The building requires critical restoration work, and we need your help to raise the funds necessary to preserve it before more of this history is lost.
The Friends of Fort McClary receives no significant funding from the State of Maine for these restoration efforts. The work we do to protect and preserve the Fort depends on private donations and the generosity of people who believe our history is worth saving.
Your contribution helps fund the Rifleman’s House restoration, preservation projects, educational programs, historic reenactments, community events, and the continued stewardship of Fort McClary.
Whether you give $10, $50, $100, or more, every donation helps protect a piece of American history.
